I remember when I was engaged, it was difficult trying to find a good location. I came across this when I was visiting a friend in Grass Valley. They had an article in the newspaper. We decided to stop by and check it out. I loved it. It had waterfalls everywhere and was secluded. It also was the perfect location to have a Cinderella wedding. I dreamed about a carriage that would pull me up the road right above it. Then walking down the stairs with waterfalls on each side and then to my fiance.
This location actually has a heart shaped island with two bridges to it over a moat. It has a large waterfall right behind it and it is actually very quiet. It is decorated with lots of beautiful flowers. There was plenty of room for seats on a grass area. It also has a cabin with a kitchen and two rooms. One of the rooms has a full mirror for the bride. Although the advertise it for the bride and her maid of honor, I imagined it for my fiance and his best man.
If you were to pick this location, it may be best to build a tent at the location and bring in catering. There may be places nearby, however, we did not find one that we liked.
If you are planning to have your wedding in Northern California, check out this location. It is about 30 to 45 minutes away from Auburn.
